A limited edition of 75, WIDENING CIRCLES is a beautiful 30 page book of poems and drawings by Los Angeles based artist, Claire Colette - the artist responsible for the cover artwork on LFZ's debut LP for Stimulus Progression.

Expertly printed in Los Angeles, the book features a full color depiction of one of Colette's large scale paintings, five prints of her meticulous graphite on paper works, and seven poems that speak to abstraction and activism in equal parts, life in cities, naturalism, and modern existence. Her words and images are in perfect balance.

WIDENING CIRCLES is Colette's 2nd book of poetry and drawings. Her first self released book, 'Come What May' -an edition of 35 from 2013- is now long out of print.

You can find out more about Claire Colette and view a large digital gallery of varied works at her website: www.clairecolette.com

Some words from the artist about WIDENING CIRCLES:

"The poems and drawings in Widening Circles were created between 2014-2016, and coincide with a solo exhibition of the same name. The title stems from a poem in Rilke's Book of Hours (included below). The works in Widening Circles are a response to a personal and spiritual evolution."

I live my life in widening circles
that reach out across the world.
I may not complete this last one
but I give myself to it.
I circle around God, around the primordial tower.
I’ve been circling for thousands of years
and I still don’t know: am I a falcon,
a storm, or a great song?
-Rainer Maria Rilke, Book of Hours
